Terms of use for the Eventz.today application.
1. General
By using the Eventz.today application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms of use.
These terms of use ("Terms") apply to the use of the Eventz.today application and website ("Application"), which is provided by GeoPass Company Oy ("Us").
The Application is a platform through which third parties ("Event Organizer") inform about their events and sell tickets for them. The Event Organizer is always responsible for each event, the sale of its tickets, and the use of this Application for the above-mentioned purposes. We are responsible for the technical implementation and availability of the Application.
All rights to the Application belong to Us, and We reserve the right to unilaterally make changes to these Terms and the Application. By using the Application, you agree to comply with these Terms as they are in effect at any given time.
We provide the Application as is at any given time. This means that we will do our best to ensure the functionality of the Application, but we cannot guarantee that the Application will be error-free or uninterrupted. Thus, we cannot take responsibility for any indirect or direct damages that may result from the Application being out of order, erroneous, or interrupted.
2. Age limit
The application is available to users who are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian to use the application. By using the application, you confirm that you meet these requirements. The application may sell tickets to events that have an age restriction of 18 years. We do not market such content to users under 18. Therefore, it is important that you are honest about your age when using the application.
3. Registration and Use of the Application
You have the opportunity to create an account in the Application. Creating an account is voluntary and requires registration. You are responsible for the accuracy of the personal information you provide, the security of your account credentials, and all activities that take place on your account.
We reserve the right to deny your registration and use of the Application without prior notice.
4. Collection and use of information
We collect and process personal data in accordance with our privacy policy. By using the Application, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy .
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to use the Application in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and to refrain from activities that may disrupt or endanger the operation or security of the Application. You are solely responsible for the content you transmit, relay, or display through the Application, including ensuring that you have the publishing rights for the images you upload to the Application.
You commit to providing truthful personal information about yourself. The event organizer has the right to cancel your reservation or the ticket you purchased if it turns out that you have not provided accurate personal information (e.g., a ticket purchased by a minor for an event that requires legal age).
6. Intellectual Property Rights
The application and its content, such as text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned or controlled by GeoPass Company Oy, the event organizer, or a third party. You may use the application only for the agreed purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit the application for any other purpose.
By adding content to the application, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content for the purposes of providing, marketing, and improving the application, free of charge.
7. Organizing the event and buying tickets
The event organizer can offer tickets for their events for purchase through the Application. The event organizer is independently responsible for organizing the event and selling tickets. We are never a party to the event and are not responsible for event organization or ticket sales.
The event organizer is responsible for marketing the event and the accuracy of the information provided in the Application. The event organizer is also responsible for providing tickets, pricing, and eligibility for the event. We do not collect ticket sales revenue on behalf of the event organizer; instead, the price you pay for the ticket goes directly to the event organizer. Therefore, we also do not take responsibility for the cancellation of the event and the refund of the ticket price paid to you; that responsibility lies with the event organizer.
The event organizer can limit the number of tickets sold per person, prohibit the resale of tickets, or cancel tickets that have already been sold if, for example, they were obtained fraudulently or with false personal information. The event organizer can also deny the ticket holder access to the event if, for example, the proof of eligibility for a discount (e.g., student card or ID) is missing. The event organizer is independently responsible for such actions.
The ticket price is stated before making the purchase. The ticket price is the portion that the event organizer receives from your payment. In addition to the ticket price, we will separately indicate a service fee ("Service Fee"), which we charge for using the Application during the ticket purchase process. The ticket price and Service Fee will also be uniformly stated as a total price ("Total Price"). The Total Price is the amount you will pay in full when purchasing a ticket through the Application. The Total Price includes the ticket price, Service Fee, and any taxes and regulatory fees included in them.
The Service Fee is non-refundable, even if the event is canceled or you are otherwise entitled to a refund from the event organizer.
Once you have paid for the ticket, we will deliver it electronically to the Application and/or as a link to the email address you provided. You have no other way to receive the ticket. After receiving the ticket, check it and keep it carefully.
Third-party payment processing services are used during the payment transaction. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about the disruptions that occasionally occur during payment processing. We are not responsible for any direct or indirect damage caused by such reasons.
Purchasing a ticket may be interrupted due to a communication failure. Such problems are unfortunate, but we cannot take responsibility for any direct or indirect damages that arise from them.
8. Changes and cancellations to tickets and the event
The events presented in the application may be subject to changes or cancellations. We are not responsible for changes, cancellations, or damages resulting from changes to or cancellation of the event. The event organizer is responsible for ticket sales and organizing the event, and thus also for the cancellation of the event, changes in content, schedule, and other modifications, informing of those, and compensations arising from them.
If you need to change or cancel your ticket, please contact the Event Organizer who sold the ticket directly. We do not receive ticket revenues, and therefore we do not refund the price you paid for the ticket.
9. Resolution of disputes and jurisdiction
This agreement shall be governed by Finnish law. Disputes between the Customer and the Event Organizer shall be resolved between them. Disputes regarding these Terms or the use of the Application shall primarily be resolved through negotiation and ultimately in the district court with regional jurisdiction. Before submitting the matter to the court, the consumer customer has the opportunity to bring the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) or to seek advice from consumer advice (https://www.kkv.fi/kuluttaja-asiat/kuluttajaneuvonta/).
10. Third-party services in the Application
The application can integrate or link to third-party services. These third-party services are subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies.
