Terms and conditions for using the Eventz.today app
1. General information
- By using the Eventz.today app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms of Use.
- These terms of use ("Terms") apply to your use of the Eventz.today app and website (the "App") provided by GeoPass Company Ltd ("We").
- The App is the platform through which third parties ("Event Organiser") advertise and sell tickets for their events. The Event Organiser is always responsible for each Event, its ticket sales and the use of this App for the purposes set out above. We are responsible for the technical implementation and maintenance of the Application.
- All rights in the App belong to Us and We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms and the App unilaterally. By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms as in effect from time to time.
- We provide the Application as it is in use at any given time. This means that we will do our best to ensure the functionality of the Application, but we cannot guarantee that the Application will be error-free or uninterrupted. We cannot therefore accept any liability for any indirect or direct damage that may be caused by the malfunction, defect or interruption of the Application.
2. Age limit
The app is available to users aged 13 or over. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements. The App may sell tickets to events where the age limit is 18 years. We do not market such content to users under the age of 18. Therefore, it is important that you are honest in your age determination when using the App.
3. Registration and use of the App
- You have the option to create an account in the App. Creating an account is voluntary and requires registration. You are responsible for the accuracy of the personal information you provide, for maintaining your account IDs and for all activities that occur under your account.
- We also reserve the right to refuse your registration and use of the App without prior notice.
4. Collection and use of data
We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data Privacy Policy as described.
5. User responsibilities
- You agree to use the App in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and to refrain from any activity that may interfere with or endanger the operation or safety of the App. You are solely responsible for the content that you transmit, post or display through the App, including to the extent that you have publishing rights to the images you upload to the App.
- You agree to provide true and accurate personal information about yourself. The event organiser has the right to cancel your booking or ticket if it turns out that you have not provided correct personal information (e.g. a ticket purchased by a minor for an event where there is an age of majority requirement).
6. Immateriaalioikeudet
- The application and its content such as text, graphics, logos and software are owned or controlled by GeoPass Company Ltd, the Event Organiser or a third party. You may only use the App for the agreed purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute or use the App for any other purpose
- By adding content to the App, you grant us, without compensation, a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify and display such content for the purpose of providing, marketing and improving the App.
7. Organising the event and buying a ticket
- Event organisers can offer tickets for their events through the App. The event organiser is independently responsible for the organisation of the event and the sale of tickets. We are never a party to the event and are not responsible for the organisation of the event or the sale of its tickets.
- The Event Organiser is responsible for the marketing of the event and the accuracy of the information provided in the App. The Event Organiser is also responsible for the provision, pricing and eligibility of tickets for the Event. We do not receive any ticketing revenue on behalf of the Event Organiser, the price of the ticket you pay goes directly to the Event Organiser. We therefore also accept no responsibility for cancellation of the event and any resulting refund to you of the ticket price paid, which is also the responsibility of the Event Organiser.
- The organiser may limit the number of tickets sold per person, prohibit the resale of tickets or cancel a ticket already sold if, for example, it has been obtained by fraud or with false personal data. The event organiser may also refuse the ticket holder access to the event, for example if he/she does not have a certificate entitling him/her to a discount (e.g. a student card or identity card). The Event Organiser is independently responsible for such measures.
- The ticket price will be indicated before the purchase is made. The ticket price is the share of your payment received by the Event Organiser. In addition to the Ticket Price, we will separately indicate the service fee ("Service Fee") that we charge for using the App when you purchase a Ticket. The Ticket Price and the Service Fee will also be shown together as a single total price ("Total Price"). The Total Price is the amount you pay in full when you purchase a Ticket through the App. The Total Price includes the Ticket Price, the Service Fee and any applicable taxes and regulatory fees.
- The service fee is non-refundable, even if the event is cancelled or you are otherwise entitled to a refund from the Event Organiser.
- Once you have paid for your ticket, we will deliver it electronically to the App and/or to the email address you provided as a link. There is no other way for you to get your ticket. Once you have received your ticket, please check and store it carefully.
- The payment transaction involves the use of third party payment intermediary services. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about the occasional disruptions in the payment service. We shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage caused by such a cause.
- The purchase of a ticket may be interrupted due to a communication failure. Such problems are unfortunate, but we cannot accept liability for any direct or indirect damage caused.
8. Changes and cancellations to tickets and the event
- The events presented in the application may be subject to change or cancellation. We will not be liable for any changes, cancellations or damages resulting from any change or cancellation of an event. The event organiser is responsible for selling tickets and organising the event and therefore also for any cancellation, changes to content, schedule or other changes to the event, for informing you of such changes and for any compensation arising from such changes.
- If you need to change or cancel your ticket, please contact the Event Organiser who sold you the ticket directly. We will not accept any ticket proceeds and therefore will not refund the ticket price you have paid.
9. Dispute resolution and jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by Finnish law. Any disputes between the Customer and the Event Organiser shall be settled between them. Any disputes concerning these Terms or the use of the Application shall be settled primarily by negotiation and ultimately by the district court having territorial jurisdiction. Before bringing the matter before a court, the consumer-customer may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) or ask for advice from a consumer adviser (https://www.kkv.fi/kuluttaja-asiat/kuluttajaneuvonta/).
10. Third party services in the App
The app can integrate or link to third-party services. These third party services are subject to their own terms of use and privacy policies.
